If you are a Pakistani student and want to study abroad, there is a lot of international scholarships available. This includes fully-funded scholarships in some of the world’s top study destinations, as well as limited help or education cost waivers.
There are a number of government scholarships available for study in the UK, the US and Canada. These can cover tuition fees, airfare, textbooks, health insurance and visa costs.
Dalda Scholarship 2023-24
Dalda Foundation Scholarship 2023-24 is a fully funded scholarship program for the students of Pakistan who have passed their matriculation exams and are now studying FA/FSc intermediate degree programs. This program has been announced by the Dalda Foundation to help needy students who cannot afford to pursue their education.
In order to qualify for this program, a student must meet all eligibility criteria. For instance, they must have passed their matriculation exam in 2022 and are now in the first year of an undergraduate course.
They must be permanent residents of Pakistan, and their parents’ salary must not exceed 20,000 per month. They must also own a home that does not exceed 1080 square feet.
Students who are pursuing their higher education from a government or private institution are encouraged to apply. This scholarship is a great opportunity to obtain funding for their fees, books, and living expenses. In addition, it is a merit-based scholarship.
PEEF Scholarships 2023
The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) is a scholarship program for Pakistani students who are talented and intelligent. PEEF scholarships are awarded on a need and merit basis to students in matric, graduation, and master’s level education.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows: Applicants must have achieved a minimum 60% marks or at least CGPA 2.5 in the annual exam that was held in the past three consecutive years within the state of Punjab. Additionally, they must have successfully enrolled as a full-time student during the current academic year at an affiliated university.
To apply for the scholarship, students must fill and return an application form to PEEF. These forms are then verified and final district-wise merit/award lists are prepared.
Scholarship funds are given in the form of Instalment cheques to the institution where the scholars are studying. These funds are then distributed by the financial aid administration of the institution.
HEC Scholarships 2023
HEC Scholarships 2023 is a merit-based scheme. This program is meant to provide financial assistance to students who are seeking higher education in overseas universities. It is offered by the Higher Education Commission.
This scholarship is available for both male and female students. It offers around PS1,330 (approximately PKR: 322000 per month) in stipend, Return Air Tickets, Children Allowance, Spouse allowance and Study Tour Allowance.
The scholarship is open to all Pakistani and AJK nationals. The applicant must submit the online application form on both the Commonwealth and HEC portals.
These scholarships are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The eligibility criteria include a good academic record and an English test score with a high percentage.
These scholarships are designed to give a boost to students from Gilgit-Baltistan, which is considered to be a critical region of the country. These scholarships will help motivate more students from the impoverished area to seek higher education.
Fulbright Scholarships 2023
The Fulbright Scholarships 2023 are one of the leading scholarships from the US department of state that is offered to international students from 155 countries. This program provides funding for travel, living stipends, health insurance, tuition and a settling in allowance.
Applicants are selected on the basis of their academic merit and ability to succeed in an interdisciplinary study. The program aims to foster mutual understanding through educational exchange.
A Fulbright scholar will participate in a master’s or PhD degree program in the United States. The grant includes airfare, required textbooks, air force, living stipend and health insurance.
In addition to the scholarship, a Fulbright scholar must complete a research project as part of their study. The project must be approved by their university. The scholars are also expected to participate in a two-day pre-departure orientation.
